You may remember from a tweet last month that I ordered a pair of TOMS shoes. I hadn’t heard of TOMS until I saw the AT&T commercial featuring them. A truly sad way to find out about anything, but none the less, I decided that I wanted to get a pair. I can’t remember when I placed my order, but I think it had to have been the first week of June or maybe the second. After placing my order, I got an email that said my shoes were back ordered and the latest I would get them would be 7 July. Thankfully, they arrived about 20 minutes ago. I have documented the opening experience for you.

The shoebox.

Removing the lid.

Inside lay a bag, a sticker, and a paperboard advertisement.

Inside the bag, there were shoes.

The shoes are on my feet.
I have only been wearing them for about 30 minutes now, but I can say that they are very cozy. My right foot is about a half size larger than my left (a fact that I blame on swelling from too much soccer, but most likely just a deformed body), so it is expected that whenever I get a new pair of shoes, the left is a little loose and the right is a little tight. In hindsight, I would have gotten a pair that wasn’t the color of my skin. That said, I have been very satisfied with the overall experience with TOMS shoes.

I have been wanting a pair of TOMS for a couple years now…I remember I want them, I forget I want them, I remember again. Nice purchase!
